Isoproterenol accelerates the postnatal differentiation of rat submandibular gland☆
[摘要] Theincorporationof14C-leucineintothesolubleproteinsofthesubmandibularglandwasstudiedinratsofdifferentages.Theproteinswereseparatedbyion-exchangechromatographyandbyelectrophoresisonpolyacrylamidegels.Thepatternofproteinsynthesisduringpostnataldevelopmentundergoesaconsiderablechange.Certainsecretoryproteinsarenotsynthesizedbefore3wkofage.Isoproterenol,givenfor5daysbeginningat6daysofage,acceleratesthepostnataldifferentiationofthesubmandibulargland.Thisismanifestednotonlyinamorphologicaldifferentiationofacinarcellsbutintheinductionofthesynthesisofproteinscharacteristicformoreadvancedstagesofdevelopment.
