[摘要] ResultsobtainedfromtransfersofdiploidblastulanucleifromRanapalustrisintoenucleatedeggsofRanapipiensconfirmedearlierpreliminarystudies.Approximatelyone-fourthofthesenucleocytoplasmichybridsdieduringgastrulationandone-halfarearrestedduringneurulationafterdisplayingabnormallywideneuralfolds.Theremainingfourthformextremelylargeheadsanddevelopedtoearlypostneurulastages.Thiscontrastsstrikinglywithnucleocytoplasmichybridsofthereciprocalcombination(pipiensnucleiinpalustriscytoplasm),themajorityofwhichsurvivetolatepostneurulastagesanddevelopverysmallheads.Karyotypeanalysisoftypicalnucleocytoplasmichybridsrevealedthattheirdeviationfromthenormalpatternofdevelopmentisnotcausedbycytologicallydetectablechangesinchromosomeconstitution.
