Fine structure of mutant (muscular dysgenesis) embryonic mouse muscle☆
[摘要] Thisinvestigationisconcernedwiththeultrastructureofembryonicmusclecellsinmicehomozygousforthemutationmdg(musculardysgenesis).Theearliestabnormalitiesaredetectedatagestationalageof14dayswhenthesarcoplasmicreticulumofmutantcellsbeginstoappeardilated.Inlaterstagesswollensarcoplasmicreticulumisseeninallmusclecellsaswellasnuclearabnormalitiesandcelldeath.Thecorrelationbetweentheultrastructuralabnormalitiesofthesarcoplasmicreticulumandtheothercellularabnormalitiesisdiscussed,aswellasthepossiblerelevanceofthestructuralabnormalitiestothetotalabsenceofmusclefunctioninmutanthomozygotes.
