Developmental changes in rat adrenal tyrosine hydroxylase, dopamine-β-hydroxylase and catecholamine levels: Effect of denervation☆
[摘要] Developmentalchangesinratadrenaltyrosinehydroxylase,dopamine-β-hydroxylase,andcatecholaminelevels:effectofdenervation.Levelsofadrenaltyrosinehydroxylase,dopamine-β-hydroxylase,andcatecholamineswerefoundtobedependentuponboththeageandtheinnervationoftheadrenalgland.Duringgrowthfrom8to15wkofage,tyrosinehydroxylase,dopamine-β-hydroxylase,andcatecholaminesincreasedby51,33,and57%,respectively,inintactadrenalglands.Denervatingtheleftadrenalglandat8wkofagecompletelypreventedtheincreasesseenintheinnervatedglands.Inyoungeranimals,duringgrowthfrom4to12wkofage,tyrosinehydroxylaseactivityincreased2-to3-fold,dopamine-β-hydroxylaseactivityincreasedabout2-fold,andcatecholaminelevelsincreased3-to5-foldinintactadrenalglands.Denervationoftheadrenalglandat23daysofagemarkedlydepressedtheincreaseinenzymeactivitiesandcatecholaminestoapproximatelyonehalfthatseenininnervatedglands.
