Lysine-rich histone phosphorylation and hyperplasia in the developing rat☆
[摘要] Electrophoreticcomparisonsofhistonesfromdevelopingratliverfromthe15-dayfetustotheagedadulthaverevealeddifferencesonlyinthelysine-richhistones.Thelysine-richhistonesfromrapidlydividingfetalcellsareextensivelyphosphorylated(∼80%)whiletheF1fromnondividingadultlivercellscontainsnodetectablephosphorylation.BetweenthesetwoextremepointstheextentofF1phosphorylationdeclinesastherateofcellreplicationdecreases.WeproposethatnotonlyistheextentofF1phosphorylationcorrelatedwiththeoverallrateofcelldivision,butthatitmaydependuponthefractionofcellsproceedingthroughtheSphase(DNAsynthesis)atagiventime.
