Molecular differentiation of the rabbit ovum: I. During oocyte maturation in vivo and in vitro☆

[摘要] Thenormalityofnuclearandcytoplasmicmaturationofrabbitoocytes,maturedinvivoandinvitro,hasbeenassessedbycytogeneticandelectrophoreticcriteria.Thefindingsindicatenotonlythatnuclearmaturationinvivoandinvitroaredirectlycomparable,butalso,asobservedbyhigh-resolution,two-dimensionalpolyacrylamidegelelectrophoresis,(1)thatbothqualitativeandquantitativechangesinthepatternofpolypeptidesynthesisoccurduringmaturation,(2)thatthesepatternsaredirectlycomparableinoocytesthathadbeenmaturedeitherinvivoorinvitro,and(3)thateachstageofmaturationisassociatedwiththeappearanceofspecificpolypeptidesintheautoradiographicpatterns.Themajordifferencesobservedbetweenoocytesmaturedunderthesetwoconditionsare(1)thatseveralpolypeptidesfailtoappearininvitromaturedoocytesatthetimetheyaredetectedinvivoand(2)thatthesynthesisofsomepolypeptidesisprolongedinvitrocomparedtoinvivomaturedoocytes.
