Local anesthetics and phenothiazine tranquilizers induce parthenogenetic activation of the mouse oocyte☆
[摘要] Incubationofrecentlyovulatedmouseoocytesinvariousconcentrationsoflocalanestheticsandphenothiazinetranquilizersinitiatesthecompletionofmeiosisandtheformationofpronuclei.ThepotencywithwhichthesedrugsinduceoocyteactivationiscomparabletotheirrelativeabilitytodisplaceCa2+fromartificiallipidmembranes.OocyteactivationinducedbythesedrugsisinhibitedbyCa2+.PerturbationoftheplasmamembraneoftheoocytebythesedrugsmaydisplaceCa2+,whichisresponsiblefortheintegrityofthemicrotubule-microfilamentsystemthatnormallymaintainstheovulatedmammalianoocyteblockedattheMetaphaseIIofmeiosisuntilspermpenetration.
