Basal and induced levels of tryptophan pyrrolase and tyrosine transaminase in the chick☆
[摘要] Intheliverofchickembryostyrosinetransaminasewaspresentfromthe5thday,tryptophanpyrrolasefromthe11thday,andform-ylaseappearedatthetimeofhatching.Thetyrosinetransaminaselevelwaselevated5-foldbytreatmentwithhydrocortisonebutnotwithtryptophan,andthetryptophanpyrrolasewaselevatedasimilaramountbytreatmentwithtryptophanbutnotwithhydrocortisone.Thedramaticdevelopmentalelevationofformylasewasnotaffectedbyeithertreatment.Thebehavioroftheenzymesisthereforemarkedlydifferentinthechickembryothaninthefetalrat.Thisdifferencewasemphasizedbythefindingthatthehydrocortisone-inducedelevationoftyrosinetransaminaseinthechickembryowasnotpreventedbyactinomycin.
