Influence of an eccentric epidermal cap on limb regeneration in Amblystoma larvae☆
[摘要] 1.1.TheepidermalcapoftheregeneratingforelimboflarvalAmblystomawasinducedtobecomeeccentricallylocatedattheposteriorborderoftheamputationsurfacebymeansofaskinexcision(12mmlongby13mmwide)attheposterioredgeoftheamputationsurface.Healingoftheskinexcisionwoundbyepidermalmigration,particularlyfromtheepidermiscoveringtheamputationsurface,carriedtheepidermalcaptothepostaxialborderofthelimbtip.2.2.Blastermalcellsaggregatedbeneaththeeccentricepidermalcaptoformacorrespondinglyeccentricblastemawhichdevelopedintoanasymmetricalregenerate.3.3.Eccentricepidermalcapswereinducedinregressedlimbsafteralllimbtissueshadcompletelydedifferentiated.Blastemalcellsaggregatedbeneaththeeccentricepidermalcapstoproduceeccentricblastemataandregenerates.Thustheeccentricepidermalcapinducedacorrespondingeccentricityofregenerativeoutgrowthnotbyadifferentialhistolysisoflimbtissues,butbycontrollingtheaggregationofblastemalcells.
