Development of the rat salivary glands: II. The identification of a trypsinlike protease in the submaxillary gland☆
[摘要] TrypsinlikeproteaseactivityatpH9.2wasmeasuredintissueextractsofadultratsalivaryglandsbyusingafluorometricassayinwhichβ-naphthylamineisreleasedbythehydrolysisofbenzylarginineβ-naphthylamide.Thesubmaxillaryglandcontainshighlevelsofthisactivity,andtheparotidandsublingualglandshaveamaximumof2000-foldand200-foldless.AfterpolyacrylamidediscgelelectrophoresisatpH8.3,theproteaseactivityofsubmaxillaryextractsisassociatedwithamajorproteinband.Neitherthisproteinbandnoritsproteaseactivityisdetectableinextractsofparotidorsublingualglands.Homogenatesofnewbornsubmaxillaryglanddonothavethisproteaseactivityatdetectablelevels,suggestingthatitsmajoraccumulationispostnatal.
