Back-transfer of late gastrula nuclei of nucleocytoplasmic hybrids☆
[摘要] Lategastrula-earlyneurulaendodermnucleifromnucleocytoplasmichybridsconsistingofRanapipiensnucleiandRanapalustriscytoplasmwereback-transferredintoenucleatedeggsofRanapipiens.Approximatelyhalfofthenormallycleavedback-transferembryosdevelopednormally.Asimilarresultwasobtainedwithnucleartransfercontrols.Asexpected,thedevelopmentofthenucleocytoplasmichybriddonors,atthetimetheback-transferswerecarriedout,wasclearlyabnormal.Consequently,asignificantproportionofendodermnucleifromtheseembryosundergonoirreversiblechangesintheirdevelopmentalcapacityevenafterthenucleocytoplasmicincompatibilitybetweenthesetwoamphibianspeciesisexpressed.
