[摘要] LarvaeofRanapipiensimmersedinastrongthyroxinesolutionatTaylor-KollrosstagesVI–VIIIsurvivedupto7–8days.Samplesofheadskinwerefixeddailyandpreparedforelectronmicroscopy.Protoplasmicprocessesfrommesenchymecellsprotrudeintothebasementlamellaincontrolanimalsnotexposedtothyroxineandinthoseexposedbut1day.Channelscontaininggroundsubstanceandfinefilamentsareorientedverticallyinthelamella.By2daysafterimmersioncellbodiesofmesenchymecellshavemovedintothebasementlamella.Mesenchymecellsarefoundclosertotheepidermisafter3–4days.Bydays5–7mesenchymecellshavemovedoutwardtoformthestratumspongiosumseparatingbasementlamellafromepidermis.
