[摘要] Thetechniqueoflensextractioninratfetuses(12–15days)inuteroisdescribedwithreferencestotheliteratureonthistechnique,itsdifficultiesanddrawbacks.Ithasnotbeenpossibletoobservethesequelaeoftheextractionafteraperiodofmorethan9dayspostoperation.Atotalof24operatedeyeshavebeeninvestigatedmicroscopically.Aftersuccessfuloperationsthedevelopmentoftheeyeanditsaccessoryorganscontinuesalmostnormally.Thedorsalmarginoftheirisshowsproliferationsandsometimestheepitheliallayersseparateandavesiclelikeformationcanbeseen,butnofurtherindicationsofWolffianregenerationhavebeenobserved.Afterincompleteextractiontheremaininglensepitheliumformslentoids.Thenervousretinamaybepartlyorcompletelyextrudedthroughthecornealwound.Inthelattercase,onlyafoldedcystofpigmentedepitheliumremains.Itissurroundedbyaprimordiumofscleraandchorioid.Itdoesnotshowneoformationofanervousretina.
