Contribution à l'étude de la potentialité du blastoderme non incube chez les Oiseaux
[摘要] Thepotentialitiesofdifferentregionsoftheunincubatedduckblastodermweretestedfollowingsubdivisionofthegerm.Thecutswereeitherparallelorperpendiculartothepresumedaxisofthefutureembryo;theydividedtheblastodermintotwoequalparts.Inthiscondition,eachpart,i.e.,theanterior,theposteriororthetwolateralhalves,developedinthesameproportionsacompleteandnormalembryo.Moreover,thisresultwasconfirmedinexperimentsinwhichonehalfofthedividedgermwasdestroyed.Inanotherexperimentalseries,thecutswereeitherparallelorperpendiculartothepresumedaxisofthefutureembryo,buttheydividedtheblastodermintotwounequalparts.Inthiscase,thewidthofthesmallersegmentequaledone-fourththediameteroftheblastoderm.Thus,itwaspossibletoisolateanteriororposteriororlateralsegmentsofrelativelysmallsize.Inthistypeofexperiment,itispreferabletodestroythelargersegmentwhich,owingtoitsmorerapidgrowth,caninhibitthedevelopmentofthesmallersegment.Thepercentagesofdevelopmentobtainedfromthesmallanterior,posterior,orlateralsegmentswereagainverystriking.TheresultsaresummarizedinFigs.7and8,whichshowtheintervention,thepresumedorientationoftheblastodisk,andthepercentagesofdevelopmentfromthedifferentisolatedparts.Fromtheseexperiments,onecanconcludethattheunincubatedduckblastodermistotipotential.
