Experimental analysis of the origin of cell types in the development of the mouse thymus☆
[摘要] Thymicrudimentswereobtainedfrom12-daymouseembryosandseparatedintoepithelialandmesenchymalcomponentsbytheuseoftrypsin.Thedevelopmentalpotentialofsuchthymictissueswasstudiedbycriticalcombinationswithnonthymictissuesderivedfrommouseandchickembryos,followedbymaintenanceofsuchcombinationsinvitroandintransplantationsituations.Thestudiesdemonstratethatlymphoidtissueofthedevelopingthymusoriginatesintheepithelialcomponentoftheearlythymicrudiment,themesenchymeprovidingtheinitialinductivestimulusandservingtofurnishstromalelementsofthegland.
