The Comparison of Shear Bond Strength of Brackets Adhered to Enamel Pretreated with Three Methods of CO2, Er, Cr:YSGG Lasers with Acid Phosphoric
[摘要] BackgroundandObjective:ThepurposeofthisstudywastoevaluatetheeffectofCO2andEr,Cr:YSGGHydrokineticlasersonenamelconditioningforbondingofbracketsincomparisonwithacidetchingtechnique.MaterialsandMethods:Ninetyintactfreshlypreservedextractedpremolarswerechosenanddividedintothreegroups(30each).Thentheteethinacidetchgroupwereconditionedwithacidetchingtechniquewith37%phosphoricacidandinCO2groupwereconditionedwithsetting3W(pps150mj)usingCO2laserandinlaserErCrYSGGgroupwereconditionedwithsetting3W(pps150mj)usingErCrYSGGHidrokiaselaser.Then3Mbracketswerebondedtoteethby3Mlightcurecompositeineachgroup.Fordeterminationofbondingstrengththesampleswereexposedtocuttingforceof1mmvelocityperminutewithuniversaltestingmachine.DescriptiveandttestwereusedforcomparisonbetweengroupswithPlt;0.05levelofsignificance.Results:ThemeanvaluesofbondingstrengthstoMPwereasfollows:foracidetchingtechnique11.3,laserCO2technique8.8,laserErCrYSGGHidrokinetictechnique9.5.Thehighestvalueofbondingstrength,althoughstatisticallyinsignificant,wasinacidetchgroup.Conclusion:Theresultsofthisstudyshowedthatuseoflaserconditioningenamelsurfacetreatmentproducedlessbondingstrengthincomparisonwithacidetching,butitsdifferencewasnotsignificant.Moreover,thehighSD(Variations-standarddeviation)seeninbothlasergroupscomparedwithacidetchgroup,makesquestionablethereliabilityandpredictabilityoflaser-etchingmethod.Furtherstudiesonclinicalapplicationoflaserarestillneeded.
