Efficacy of Premarital Sexual Training on Self-Concept among Women in Marriage Age in Ahvaz

[摘要] BackgroundandObjective:ThepurposeofthepresentresearchwastostudyofefficacyofsexualtrainingbasedonInformationandMotivationForBehaviorskill(IMB)modelonsexualself-concept(sexual-anxiety,sexual-optimism,sexual-depression,sexualself-efficacy,sexual-consciousnessandsexualdisclosure)amongwomeninthresholdofmarriageinAhwaz.SubjectsandMethods:Statisticalpopulationinthisresearchwasallwomenwhomadepositiveresponsetoinstigatorofresearcherinluded40menand30womenwereassignedrandomlytoexperimentalandcontrolgroups.Researchdesignwasexperimental(pre-testandpost-test)withcontrolgroup.Then,theexperimentalgroupreceivedeight90-minutestrainingsessionsofsexualtrainingbaseontheIMBmodel.TheMultidimensionalSexualSelf-ConceptQuestionnaire(MSSCQ)wasusedinthisstudy.Results:TheresultofMANCOVAshowedthatsexualtrainingwassignificantlyefficientonincreasingsexual-optimism,sexualself-efficacy,andsexualdisclosureandwasefficientondecreasingsexual-anxietyandsexual-depressioninwomen.Conclusion:Thisstudyconfirmedthatsexualproblemscanbepreventedthrougheducation.Theeffectivenessofsexeducationbeforemarriagecanalsobeexplainedinsuchtrainingandwillhelpthesewomeninmarriageandthemaritalrelationshipsexualinhibitionasideandenjoytheirnaturalrighttotakeit.
