In Vitro Evaluation of Push-out Bond Strength of Mineral Trioxide Aggregate at Middle third of the Root after One Week and 1and 2 Months
[摘要] BackgroundandObjective:Severalmaterialsareusedforretrogradetreatmentandperforationsrepair.Mineraltrioxideaggregatehasbeenwidelyusedasapromisingbiomaterialtorepairrootperforationsbecauseofitsexcellentbiocompatibility,highsealingabilities,abilitytosetinthepresenceofbloodandinductionofdentin,boneandcement.Theaimofthisstudywastoevaluatethepush-outstrengthofMTA-dentininthemiddlethirdoftheroot.SubjectsandMethods:Thisinvitrostudywasperformedon60humansingle-rootedteeth.Afterpreparation,thespecimenswererandomlydividedinto3groups(n=20,foreachperiodofassessment)andsoakedinsynthetictissuefluid(STF)(pH=7.4).Thepush-outbondstrengthswerethenmeasuredbyusingauniversaltestingmachineafteroneweekand1and2monthsofuse.DatawereanalyzedbySPSSsoftware(version13)andANOVAandTukeystatisticaltests.Results:Averagepush-outbondstrengthatthefirstweekspecimenswas2.3157Megapascalwhichwasmorethantheaverageafterthefirstmonth(0.125)andtwomonths(0.12).Thereweresignificantdifferencesbetweentheaveragepush-outbondstrengthafteroneweek,onemonthandtwomonth(Plt;0.001).Conclusion:Withpassageoftimefromoneweektotwomonthsthepush-outbondstrengthofMTAisdecreased.
