The Effect of Psychologic Preparation to Reduce Anxiety Associated with Cardiac Catheterization
[摘要] BackgroundandObjective:Theincreasingrateofcardiovasculardisorderscandidateforangiographyalongwithconsiderationthatangiography,asaninvasivemethod,maypredisposetopsychologicalreactionsandincreasingcardiaccomplicationsamongthesesubjects.Thisstudywasperformedtodeterminetheeffectofpsychologicalpreparationonreducinganxietyinpatientswhoarecandidatesforthisprocedure..SubjectsandMethods:Inthisrandomizedclinicaltrial,frompatientsreferredforangiographytoGolestanAhvazHospital,40wereenrolledandrandomlyassignedintotwogroups;interventiongroupwhoreceivedpsychologicalpreparationandcontrolgroup.DemographicquestionnaireandHamiltonAnxietyScaleonedaybeforecardiaccatheterizationwascompletedforbothgroups.Thenpsychologicalpreparationforcardiaccatheterizationwasperformedforinterventiongroup.TheHamiltonAnxietyScaleat2hoursbeforeand4hoursaftercardiaccatheterizationwascompletedonceagainforboth.DatawereanalyzedbyChi-squaredandpaired-ttestmethod.Results:Theresultsshowedthattheinitialanxietylevelinbothgroupswassimilar(pgt;0.05).Twohoursaftercatheterization,therewasasignificantdecreaseofanxietyininterventiongroup(Plt;0.05).However,nodifference,atfourhoursafterheartcatheterization(Pgt;0.05)wasfound.Pairedt-testanalysisdemonstratedthat,fromdemographicandclinicalvariables,onlyageandhistoryofcardiacdiseaseweresignificantlyassociatedwiththeeffectofintervention(Plt;0.05).Conclusion:Resultsofthisstudyrevealedthatpsychologicalpreparation,isaneffectivemethodandcanreducetheanxietyofpatientsundergoingcardiaccatheterization.
