Evaluation of the Effectiveness of Education on Awareness of Hygiene Teachers in Primary Schools of Ahwaz on Preventive Orthodontics in Educational Year 2005-2006

[摘要] BackgroundandObjective:Thechildrenspendalongtimeoftheirlevelsatschoolduringwhichtheyhaveaclosecontactwiththeirhygieneteachers,whoplayanimportantandakeyroleinpreventionofvariousdiseases.TheaimofthisinterventionalresearchwastoevaluationoftheeffectivenessofeducationonawarenessofhygieneteachersinprimaryschoolsofAhvazonroleofpreventiveorthodontics.SubjectsandMethods:SixtyeightofhygieneteachersofprimaryschoolsofAhvazwereparticipated.Beforethebeginningoftheteachingprogram,theywerepre-testedwithaquestionnaire.Afterthat,hygieneteachersunderwentaneducationaltrainingcomprisinganeducatingfilmandsupplementaryexplanations.Acopyofthefilmandapamphletaboutoralhygieneandpreventiveorthodonticsweregiven.Afterthreeweeksthesubjectswerere-testedwiththesamequestionnaireoncemore.Results:Thiseducationalpackagecausedanincreaseofawarenessofhygieneteachersaboutoralhygieneandpreventiveorthodontics.(Plt;0/001).Thelevelofeducationandthedurationofserviceofhygieneteachershadnoeffectonlevelofawarenessbeforeandaftertraining.(Pgt;0/05).Conclusion:Trainingabouttheimportanceoforalhygieneinstructionandpreventiveorthodonticscanincreaseawarenessofhygieneteacherstotheseproblemsinstudents.
