The Relationship between Body Image and Request and Tendency Toward Rhinoplasty in Female Students
[摘要] BackgroundandObjective:Consideringtheincreasing,nowadays,trendtowardaestheticsurgeries,thisstudyisaimedtoevaluatetherelationshipbetweenbodyimageandrequestandtendencytowardrhinoplastyinfemalestudents.SubjectsandMethods:Theresearchsamplewasconsistedof111youngfemalestudents,ofwhich,26haddonerhinoplastybefore,34werewillingtodoitinthefuture,27hadnotendencytowardit,and24werereferredtotherhinoplastyclinic.BICIQuestionnairewasusedtomeasurebodyimage.Datawereanalyzedusingone-wayanalysisofvarianceandScheffeposthoctest.Results:Theresultsshowedthattherearesignificantdifferencebetweenstudentswhoarenotsurgicalandreluctanttohavesurgeryandstudentswhohavenothadsurgerybuttendtodoandstudentshavereferredforcosmeticsurgery,intermsofbodyimage.Conclusion:Therhinoplastycandidatesarebettertobeevaluatedbeforeanysurgicalinterventionregardingtheirbodyimageandanypossiblementalissuesthatmayneedtobeaddressedprofessionally
