Comparison of Acoustic Parameters in Normal Girls and Girls with Down Syndrome
[摘要] BackgroundandObjective:Downsyndromeisthemostcommoncauseofmentalimpairment..MostpeoplewithDownsyndromeexperiencedifficultiesinverbalcommunicationandabnormalvoicequalityinthesechildrenreducestheiropportunitiesforgoodcommunication.TheaimofthisstudywastoestimatetheacousticparametersinchildrenwithDownsyndromeandnormalchildreninordertoachieveaquickindicatorforassessmentandtreatment.SubjectsandMethods:Thisisacross-sectionalanddescriptive-analyticalstudy.Inthisstudythevoicesamplesof20childrenwithDownsyndromeandnormalchildrenbetween4-8years(average=4.6,SD=1.46years).Normalchildrenmatchedforageandsex.VoicesampleswereanalyzedbyusingPraatsoftware.Toinvestigatethedifferencebetweendata,independentsamplestestswereused.Results:Themeanoffundamentalfrequency(F0)inchildrenwithDownsyndromeweresignificantlylowerthanthecontrolgroup(P=0.009).ComparisonofJitterinthetwogroupsshowedasignificantincreaseinthisparameterinchildrenwithDownsyndromethaninthecontrolgroup(P=0.004).Comparingtheresultsofshimmerparameterwasthesameasjitter(P‹0/000)andtheHarmonic-to-NoiseRatio(HNR)parameterinchildrenwithDownsyndromethaninthecontrolgroupshowedasignificantdecrease.Conclusion:Theresultsshowthatduringtheassessmentandtreatmentacousticevaluationcanimprovetheaccuracyandspeed.Andalsouseofacousticparameterscanleadtoaccuratelyplantreatmentanddirectfocusonthedefects.
