Evaluation of the Use of Iranian National Digital library of Medicine by Faculty Members of Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences

[摘要] BackgroundandObjective:ThemaingoalofthisresearchisassessmentoftheusageofIranianNationalMedicalDigitalLibrarybyfacultymembersofAhvazJundishapurUniversityofmedicalsciences.SubjectsandMethods:thisresearchisdescriptive-analyticalandhasbeendoneasasurveystudy.Datacollectionhasbeendonebymeansofthequestionnaire.Thesocietyis188casesoffacultymembersofajumsthatworksinfaculties.Theresultsofthisresearchhavebeencalculatedbyfromspss15anddiagramshavebeendrawnbyexcelandspss15.Results:NationalMedicalDigitalLibraryhasa“highimpact”onprovidingthefacultymemberswithinformationrequirements.Thefacultymembersconsiderthemselvesas“medium”infamiliaritywiththeinformationresourcesofNationalDigitalMedicalLibraty.ELSEVIERdatabasehasbeenrecognizedasthemostfrequentlyuseddatabasebyfacultymembers.35.7%percentoffacultymembershavebeentrainedtouseinformationresourcesand31.8%ofthemhaverequestedretraining.Of64.3%offacultymemberswhodidnotparticipateintrainingworkshops,57.4%ofthemrequestedtrainingworkshops.Conclusion:Trafficandlowspeedinternetnetworksarethemostimportantdifficultiesinaccessinginformationresources.Themostimportantreasonofusinginformationresourcesandsatisfactionisuptodateinformationresources.Thereisnomeaningfuldifferencebetweentheuseofinformationresourcesbyfacultymembersandtheirsexdegreeandtrainingworkshop.Howeverthereisameaningfuldifferencebetweentheuseofinformationresourcesandacademicdegreeoffacultymembers.
