The Effect of Aerobic Exercise on O2 Saturation in Children with Sickle Cell Trait
[摘要] BackgroundandObjective:Intensiveanaerobicexerciseisariskfactorforchildrenwithsicklecellanemia.However,itremainsunclearwhetheranaerobicoraerobicexerciseshaveanyeffectonsubjectswithsicklecelltrait.ThisstudyconductedtodetermineoftheeffectofaerobicexerciseonO2saturationinchildrenwithsicklecelltrait.SubjectsandMethods:Eighty-twohealthyandtraitchildren(age6-18)wereallocatedrandomlyintwogroups:case(41)andcontrol(41)inthisstudy.Anthropometricsprofileandhemoglobinconcentrationweremeasured.HbShemoglobinrecognizedwithHPLC.Allchildrenperformedacycleergometer2-minexerciseand3-minrest.Beforeandafterexercise,O2saturationwasassessedwithpulseoximetry.Results:TherewasnosignificantdifferencebetweentwogroupsforO2saturationbeforeandafterexercise(Pgt;0.05).Thisparameterremainednormalinchildrenwithsicklecelltrait.Conclusion:Itseemsaerobicexerciseissafeforchildrenwithsicklecelltrait.
