Parasitic Contamination of Consumed Vegetables from Farms in Ramhormoz
[摘要] BackgroundandObjective:Relativelylargegroupofparasiticinfectionsaretransferredtohumanthroughwater,soilandfoodstuffssuchasvegetables.EatingrawvegetableswithediblefoodiscommoninnutritionalhabitsamongmostIraniansocieties.Whileprovidingasignificantpercentageofessentialvitaminsandmaterials,eatingrawvegetableswithinadequatedisinfectionconditionscarriesrisktoinfectionvariousparasiticinfections.TheaimofthisstudywastounderstandthesituationandtypeofcontaminationinfarmvegetablesofRamhormozcity.MaterialsandMethods:Inthisdescriptivecross-sectionalstudy,20cultivatedvegetablesfarmswereselectedfromfivearea:north,south,west,eastandcentreofRamhormozSampleswereexaminedusingsedimentconcentrationwithanionicdetergent.Thetotalnumberofsampleswas140.Fordataanalysis,SPSSsoftwarewasused.Results:Theresultsshowedthat49%ofvegetableswereinfestedwithvariouspathogenicandnonpathogenicparasites.Thehighestinfestationswasassociatedwithnematodeslarva(44%)andthelowestwererelatedtoHymenolepisnana(1/8%)andTrichostrongylus(1/8%).Conclusion:Thefindingsofthisstudyshowedthatthemainsourcesforparasiticinfestationsinvegetablesarefromhumancompsites.Educationofpeopleonhowtowashediblevegetablesinareaswherethereisaparasiticinfestations,canpromotecommunityhealthandeffectivelycontrolparasiticdiseases.Inaddition,theuseofhumancompostinagricultureshouldbeavoided.
