Indicators of Changes in Postural Stability with Chronic Nonspecific Neck Pain
[摘要] BackgroundandObjective:Patientswithneckpainarethesecondlargestgroupafterlowbackpainattendedforphysicaltherapy.Sensorimotordeficitsinchronicnonspecificneckpainmayaltercervicalafferentinput.Alteredsensoryinputofthecervicalspinestructure,mediatedviathedirectneurophysiologicconnectionstovestibularandvisualsystemhasthepotentialtodisturbposturalcontrol.SubjectsandMethods:Inthiscase-controlstudy,posturalstabilitywasmeasuredbyforceplatein24nonspecificchronicneckpain24matchedhealthysubjects.Eachcaseperformeddoublelimbsinglelimbstandingwithtlevelofdifficulty(rigid-foamsurface).Measuredparameterweremeanvelocity,standarddeviationvelocityinthemedia-lateralandanterior-posteriordirection.Datawereanalyzedby2-wayrepeatedmeasurementANOVA.Results:Findingshowsthattherewasasignificantincreaseinstandarddeviationsforvelocityintheanterior-posteriorandmedia-lateraldirectioninsinglelimbstanceofsubjectswithnon-specificchronicnonspecificneckpain.Indoublelimbstance,statisticallysignificantdifferenceswerefoundinbothallocatedgroups.Conclusion:Dissimilarityinposturalperformancechronicnonspecificneckpatientisareflectionofdifferentdegreesofdisturbancesoftheproprioceptiveinputtocentralnervoussystemand/orofthecentralprocessingofsuchinput.Therefore,treatmentmethodsforaddressneckpositionandbalancetrainingaresuggested.
