Frequency of Intimate Partner Abuse Referred To Ahvaz Health Center and Related Factors

[摘要] BackgroundandObjective:Intimatepartnerviolenceagainstwomenisaseriouspublichealthissuewithrecognizabledirecthealthcommunityconsequences.ThisstudyindicatedfrequencyofintimatepartnerabusereferredtoAhvazhealthcenterandrelatedfactorswithit.SubjectsandMethods:Afterapreliminarystudybasedonthefrequency(P=65/7%,α=0/05),368marriedwomen15to55yearwereselectedwithmulti-stagesamplingmethodThedatawerecollectedbyDemoghraficquestionniar,Strauss-scaleaboutabuseofwomenandconflicttacticsscalewasmodified.ForReliabilityuesedcontentconfidence.Thevalidityisevaluetedbycurrentedtest(r=%78).Thedataobtainfromscaleswerecompletedusinganinterviewandanalyzedusingchi-squertest.Result:Althogether,63/2%ofwomenhadbeenexposedtovarioustypesofdomesticviolencebytheirpartner,includingpsychologyviolence(58/8%),physicalviolence(43/4%),sexualviolence(12/2%)andeconomicviolence(34/2%).Statistically,therewasasignificantdifferencebetweenabuseandthefollowingfactors:abuseandthefollowingfactors:women’sjob’s(P=0/03),economiccondition(P=0/03),educationallevel,marriedageandaddiction(Plt;0/001),monthlyincome(Plt;0/05),marriedofhusbend‘sage(P=0/03),numerofchildern(P=0/006).Howevertherewasnotstatisticallyasigniicantdifferencebetweenabuseandusechildgender,lendhthofmarried,andsmoking..Conclustion:Regardingwidespreadprevalenceofviolenceagainstwomenandrelatedfactors,itisrecommendedtoimplementnationaleducationprogramtocontrolsteressandhelpyoungerwomentocopewithproblemsinlife.
