Late Maastrichtian Radiolaria from ODP Leg 165 — Site 999B, Colombian Basin
[摘要] ThisworkpresentsataxonomicstudyontheLateMaastrichtianradiolarianfaunafromODPLeg165,Hole999B,ColombianBasin.Thestudiedfaunaiscomposedby24species,beingthefamilyArchaeodictyomitridaePessagno,1976themostabundantanddiverse.Originalopalineskeletonsarereplacedbycalciumcarbonateandpreciseidentificationsarepossibleonlyforthosespecimenswithsturdyskeletons,whatstronglysuggestsapreservationalbias.ThestudiedradiolarianfaunawasattributedtotheAmphipyndaxtylotuszone,duetotheoccurrenceofthatspecies.Besides,thefaunadescribedhereinpresentsalowtointermediatelatitudepaleobiogeographicaffinityandfallswithinthedesignationofatypicallowerbathyaltoabyssalone.Finally,thedatapresentedhereinarecomparedtothosereportedfromthecloselyrelatedODPHole1001B.
