Long-Term Population Developments in Typical Marshland Birds in The Netherlands
[摘要] Inthispaperlong-termdevelopmentsinthebreedingpopulationsof23typicalmarshlandbirdspeciesinTheNetherlandsarereconstructed,usingdataofseveralmonitoringschemesandatlasstudies,aswellaspublishedsources.Twelvespeciesincreasedinnumberssincethe1950s:GreatCormorantPhalacrocoraxcarbo,GreatEgretCasmerodiusalba,LittleEgretEgrettagarzetta,EurasianSpoonbillPlatalealeucorodia,GreylagGooseAnseranser,Red-crestedPochardNettarufina,WesternMarshHarrierCircusaeruginosus,BluethroatLusciniasvecica,CommonGrasshopperWarblerLocustellanaevia,EuropeanReedWarblerAcrocephalusscirpaceus,PendulineTitRemizpendulinusandCommonReedBuntingEmberizaschoeniclus.Ninespeciesdeclined:GreatBitternBotaurusstellaris,LittleBitternIxobrychusminutus,Black-crownedNightHeronNycticoraxnycticorax,PurpleHeronArdeapurpurea,BlackTernChlidoniasniger,Savi'sWarblerLocustellaluscinioides,SedgeWarblerAcrocephalusschoenobaenus,GreatReedWarblerAcrocephalusarundinaceusandBeardedReedlingPanurusbiarmicus.ForWaterRailRallusaquaticusandSpottedCrakePorzanaporzananumbersfluctuatedwithoutacleartrend.Speciestypicalofuncutreedbedsoverstandingwaterdeclinedmoststrongly,whereasthemajorityofspeciespreferringdriermarshlandswithshrubsandbushes,andspecieswitharatherbroadhabitatchoice,onaverageIncreased.Possiblecausesoflong-termpopulationdevelopmentsarediscussed.Atpresent,changesinwatertablemanagement,fallingwatertables,terrestrializationandeutrophicationhavethehighestimpactontrendsofmarshlandbirdsinTheNetherlands.
