[摘要] Nestsiteselectionoftheground-nestingMontagu'sHarrierwasstudiedinanaturalhabitatineasternPoland,theCheÅ‚mCalcareousMarshes(850ha).AllnestsinthestudyareawereplacedinthesedgecommunityCladietummarisci.Thewateratnestsiteswasdeeper,andthevegetationwashigher,denserandbroader-leavedthanfoundatrandompoints.Distancetothenearestmeadowsdidnotdifferbetweennestsitesandrandompoints;allnestswereplacedoverwater,though.Thesedatasuggestapreferencefornestinginwetplaceswitholderandhighervegetationsgrowinginhighdensity.
