Fragmentation of Cosmologically Collapsed Layers
[摘要] Thefragmentationanddynamicsofpancake-likecollapsedlayersarediscussed.Thefragmentationtheoryforanisothermalgaslayerisextendedtothecaseofthetransverseexpansionorcontractionofalayerwithtwocomponents.Theexpansionofalayersuppressesthegrowthofaperturbationandthecontractionenhancestheperturbation.Itisshownthatthegrowthrateincreasesexponentiallywiththedecelerationofexpansion.Thecriticalwavenumberfortheinstabilityisalmostconstantforvariousratesoftheexpansion.Thelinearinteractionofaperturbationbetweenthecooledlayerandahotlayercomposedofdarkmatterchangesthegrowthrate.Thegrowthrateofthecooledlayerissuperiortothemaximumvalueofthegrowthrateinisolatedcaseswhenthescaleheightsofbothlayersarenotsodifferent.Thisfragmentationtheoryisappliedtocosmologicallycollapsedlayersthatwerecalculatedbynumericalsimulations.Thecooledlayersproducedbythecollapsewithtransverseexpansionhavenearlythesamedensityandtemperatureoverawidescalerangeofprimordialdensityfluctuations,λ=1–20Mpc.Themassoffragmentationisdeterminedbyevaluatingthegrowthtimeoftheperturbationandtheaccretiontimeofthecooledlayer.Thetypicalmassesofthefragmentationaredistributedoveranarrowmassscaleof107–8M⊙.Alargedynamicrangeofthecalculation,106–8,isrequiredtosimulatethecentralregionofthecollapsedlayerforthefluctuationwavelength,λ=10Mpc.Acalculationmethodwithextremelylargedynamicrangeisalsopresented.
