Models for Accretion-Disk Fluctuations through Self-Organized Criticality Including Relativistic Effects
[摘要] ThepossibilitythatsomeoftheobservedX-rayandopticalvariabilityinactivegalacticnucleiandgalacticblackholecandidatesareproducedinaccretiondisksthroughthedevelopmentofaself-organizedcriticalstateisreconsidered.Newsimulations,includingmorecompletecalculationsofrelativisticeffects,doshowthatthismodelcanproducelight-curvesandpower-spectraforthevariabilitywhichagreewiththerangeobservedinopticalandX-raystudiesofAGNandX-raybinaries.However,theuniversalityofcompleteself-organizedcriticalityhasnotquitebeenachieved.Thisismainlybecausethecharacterofthevariationsdependquitesubstantiallyontheextentoftheunstablediskregion.Ifitextendsclosetotheinnermoststableorbit,aphysicalscaleisintroducedandthescale-freecharacterofself-organizedcriticalityisvitiated.Asignificantdependenceofthepowerspectrumdensityslopeonthetypeofdiffusionwithinthediskandaweakerdependenceontheamountofdifferentialrotationarenoted.Whengeneral-relativisticeffectsareincorporatedinthemodels,additionalsubstantialdifferencesareproducedifthediskisviewedfromdirectionsfarfromtheaccretiondiskaxis.
