Formation of Intermediate-Mass Black Holes in Circumnuclear Regions of Galaxies
[摘要] Recenthigh-resolutionX-rayimagingstudieshavediscoveredpossiblecandidatesofintermediate-massblackholeswithmassesofM⋅∼102–4M⊙incircumnuclearregionsofmany(disk)galaxies.ItisknownthatalargenumberofmassivestarsareformedinacircumnucleargiantHIIregion.Therefore,weproposethatacontinualmergerofcompactremnantsleftfromthesemassivestarsisresponsiblefortheformationofsuchanintermediate-massblackholewithinatimescaleof∼109yr.Anecessaryconditionisthatseveralhundredsofmassivestarsareformedinacompactregionwitharadiusofafewparsecs.
