An SiO Maser Search off the Galactic Plane
[摘要] WesearchedfortheSiO$$J=1$$-0,$$v=1$$and2maserlinesat$$sim43$$GHzin2772 MASS/MSX/IRASsourcesofftheGalacticplane($$vertbvertgtrsim3^{circ}$$),whichresultedin119(112new)detections.Amongthenewdetections,twoareveryfaintobjectswithMSX12$$mu$$mfluxdensitiesbelow2 Jy.ThesearelikelytobeO-richAGB-starsassociatedwithdwarf-galaxytidaltails.ThesamplealsoincludesmediumbrightMSXobjectsatmoderatelyhighgalacticlatitudes($$3^{circ}lt;vertbvertlt;5^{circ}$$)andintheIRASgapathigherlatitudes.AsignatureofawarpoftheinnerGalacticdiskisfoundforadisksubsample.Thiswarpappearsrelativelystronglyintheareaof$$0^{circ}lt;llt;45^{circ}$$and$$3^{circ}lt;vertbvertlt;5^{circ}$$.WealsofoundagroupofstarsthatdoesnotfollowtotheGalacticrotation.ThisfeatureappearsintheGalacticdiskat$$lsim27^{circ}$$,andextendsmorethan$$15^{circ}$$inthegalacticlatitude,likeastreamoftidaldebrisfromadwarfgalaxy.
