Hinode EUV Study of Jets in the Sun’s South Polar Corona
[摘要] AnumberofcoronalbrightpointsandassociatedplasmajetfeatureswereseeninanobservationoftheSouthpolarcoronalholeduring2007January.The40$$^{primeprime}$$wideslotwasusedatthefocusoftheHinodeEUVImagingSpectrometertoprovidespectralimagesfortwooftheseevents.LightcurvesareplottedforanumberofemissionlinesthatincludeHeII256 Å(0.079MK)andcoverthetemperatureintervalfrom0.4MKto5.0MK.Jetspeedmeasurementsindicatevalueslessthantheescapevelocity.Thelightcurvesshowapost-jetenhancementinanumberofthecoolercoronallinesindicatingthatafterafewminutescooling,theplasmafellbacktoitsoriginalaccelerationsite.Thisbehaviorhasnotbeenpreviouslyobservedbye.g.,theYohkohSoftX-rayTelescopeduetothecomparativelyhightemperaturecut-offinitsresponse.Theobservationsareconsistentwiththeexistingmodelsthatinvolvemagneticreconnectionbetweenemergingfluxandtheambientopenfieldlinesinthepolarcoronalhole.HoweverwedonothavesufficientcoverageoflinesfromlowertemperatureionspeciestoregistertheH$$alpha$$-emittingsurgematerialthatisassociatedwithsomeofthesemodels.
