The Structure of Accretion Disks Formed by Merging of White Dwarfs
[摘要] Thecoalescenceoftwowhitedwarfsinaclosebinarysystemwasinvestigatedusinghydrodynamicalsimulations.TheGodunovSmoothedParticleHydrodynamicsmethodwasadoptedforthecalculations.Weperformedvariousmodelsofbinarysystemswithdifferentmassesandmassratiosofthewhitedwarfs.Asaresultofcoalescence,anaccretiondiskisformedaroundtheprimarystar.Thecharacteristicquantitiesofthedisks,suchasthetemperatureandrotationprofile,werefoundtobeindependentoftheinitialbinaryparameters.WealsodiscussthesubsequentevolutionoftheaccretiondiskandthepossibilityofaTypeIasupernovaexplosionfromthemergingoftwowhitedwarfs.
