Multi-Slit Imaging Spectroscopy Technique: Catalog of Intracluster Planetary Nebulae in the Coma Cluster
[摘要] Withanewmulti-slitimagingspectroscopy(MSIS)techniquepioneeredatthe8.2mSubarutelescopeandtheFaintObjectCameraandSpectrograph,wedetectandmeasuretheline-of-sightvelocitiesof40intraclusterplanetarynebulacandidatesassociatedwiththediffuseintraclusterpopulationofstarsintheComaclustercore,atnearly100Mpcdistance.Wedescribethemethodforextractingthesingletwo-dimensionalspectrafromtheMSISimage,discussthecriteriafortheidentificationoftheemissionlineobjects,anddescribetheproceduretocomputetheir$$alpha,delta$$(J2000)coordinates.Wepresentthecatalogoftheintraclusterplanetarynebulacandidates,theirspatiallocationinthesurveyedfield,andtheirdistributioninthevelocity–magnitudeplane.Finally,wecommentonpossiblepopulationeffectsandtheuseoftheseplanetarynebulaetoconfirmthedistancetotheComacluster.
