SiO Maser Sources toward Globular Clusters
[摘要] WereportonthedetectionofSiOmasersinAsymptoticGiantBranchvariablestowardbulge/diskglobularclusters.Infiveoutofsixcases,theradialvelocitiesarecompatiblewiththeopticallymeasuredradialvelocitiesofglobularclustersintheassesseduncertainty.Twosources,towardTerzan5andTerzan12,lieveryclosetotheclustercenters.TheobjectstowardPal6andTerzan12haveluminositiesappropriatetotheAGBtipinglobularclusters,whilethosetowardNGC6171,Pal10,andTerzan5arebrighterthanexpected.Itissuggestedthatthelatterthreemayhaveevolvedfrommergedbinaries,offeringatestforbinary-evolutionscenariosinglobularclusters,ifthemembershipisapproved.
