Cold and Reduced Episiotomy Pain Interfere with Mood and Daily Activity

[摘要] Introduction:Theinterferenceofacuteepisiotomypainwithdailyactivityneedsmoreattentionandtheapplicationofcoldisonemethodtoreducethesecomplications.MaterialsandMethods:Inthisrandomizedcontrolledtrial,121healthywomenhavebeenchosenanddividedinthreegroupsofcontrolandcoldtherapy(usingpadcontainingcoolinggelandicepack).Subjectstookthesedativesduringthefirstfourhoursandthenbasedupontheseverityofperinealpain.Thesedationofpainhasbeenevaluatedusingnumericalratingscale(0-100%)andtheinterferenceofpainwithtendailyactivitieshasbeenevaluatedusingnumericalratingscale(0-10)inthefirst,second,fifth,andtenthsdays.Results:Thereisasignificantstatisticdifferenceinsedationofpainbetweenthethreegroupsinthefirst,second,fifth,andtenthdaysandtheinterferenceofpainwithmood,sitting,babysitting,socialactivities,urinationinthetenthday,defecationinthesecond,fifth,andtenthday(p
