Circulating Levels of Heat Shock Protein 70 in Women With Preeclampsia and Healthy Controls
[摘要] Background:Pathophysiologyofpreeclampsiahasremainedunknown.Excessivematernalsystemicinflammatoryresponsetopregnancyalongwithsystemicoxidativestressisoneoftheunderlyingtheories.ExtracellularHSP70producedfromstressedanddamagedcellsmaybeinvolvedintheelaborationofmaternalsystemicinflammatoryresponse.Objectives:Inthisregard,weinvestigatedthecirculatinglevelsof70-kiloDaltonheatshockprotein(Hsp70)inpatientswithpreeclampsia,aswellashealthypregnantwomen.PatientsandMethods:Thestudyperformedduringa6-month-periodinZeinabiehHospitalofShirazUniversityofMedicalSciences.Werecruited31patientswithpreeclampsiaand31healthynormotensivepregnantcontrols(ageandethnicitymatched).TheserumlevelsofHsp70weremeasuredinallpatientsandcontrolsandthevalueswerecomparedbetweengroups.WealsocomparedHsp70levelsbetweensevereandmildpreeclampsiacases.Results:Themeanageofthepatientswas27.5±6.3(range21-42)years,whichwascomparabletocontrolgroup27.7±7.2(range19-45)years(P=0.925).Themeansystolicanddiastolicbloodpressurewassignificantlyhigherinthosewithpreeclampsiacomparedtohealthycontrols(Plt;0.001).TherewasnosignificantdifferencebetweenthetwostudygroupsregardingthecirculatinglevelsofHsp70(P=0.310).Wefoundthatthesystolicbloodpressurewaspositivelyassociatedwithgestationalageinthosewithpreeclampsia(r=0.397,P=0.027).However,therewasnocorrelationbetweencirculatinglevelsofHsp70andbaselinecharacteristicsaswellasbloodpressureparameters.Conclusions:CirculatinglevelsofHsp70arenotassociatedwithpreeclampsiaandincreasedbloodpressureinpregnancy.Furtherstudiesontheroleofheatshockproteinsinthepathogenesisofpreeclampsiaandgestationalhypertensionisrecommended.
