Brucellosis Antibody Level of Hospitalized Patients in Hamadan, Western Iran.

[摘要] Diagnosisofbrucellosisisbasedontherisesofantibodytiterinpatientsera.Itisreportedcliniciansarefrequentlycomplainonsomeofserologyresultsofbrucellosis.Inthisresearch,allbrucellosispatientswhowereconfirmedclinicallyandbyserologicalmethodsareenteredtothestudy.Intotal,seraof758patientsofHamedanteachinghospitalswereanalyzedwithWright,Coombsand2Mercapto-Ethanoltests.Allthesepatientswerereceivedtreatmentafterfinaldiagnosis.Inthestudiedgroup29(3.82%)and30(3.95%)ofpatientshadnoantibodyriseinWrightand2MErespectively.0nepatienthadantibodytiterlessthan1/40inCoombstest.Specificantibodylevelhigherthan1/160wasobservedin49.31%ofpatientsfortheWrighttest,whileitwas43.46%inpatientswithantibodytiterhigherthan1/80of2MEtest.Conclusion:ItseemssomeofthoseserologynegativepatientsmayinvolvedwithbrucellosisandpossibilityofinfectionshouldbealwaysconsideredinthoseserologynegativepatientssinceB.abortusantigenareappliedinallserologytests.AnalyzedresultsalsoindicateapplicationofCoombstestcanprovideclearunderstandingforthosecaseswithlowantibodyrises.
