Survey of Complications of Triple Vaccine in Yazd in 2005.

[摘要] Background:Simultaneousimmunizationagainstdiphtheria,tetanusandpertussisduringinfancyandchildhoodhasbeenaroutinepracticeinIran.AccordingtoWHOprotocol,reportofadversereactionsofvaccinationasside-effectstocollectinformationandincidenceofthemmustbedone.Objective:todeterminethecomplicationsoftriplevaccineinreferralsofthehealthcentersofYazdin2005.Methods:Thiscrosssectionalanddescriptivestudywascarriedoutonallof474caseswithDPTvaccination.Theprobablycomplicationsduring72hfollowedandobservedsymptomswerecollectedinquestionnaireandthedatawereanalyzedstatically.Results:In474vaccinatedchildren,complicationshadbeenseenin81.430%(n=386).theywere185(80.79%)boysand201(82.04%)girls.themostchildrenwerewhoreceived1sttimeand1strepetitivetime.mostprevalentcomplicationswerefever(56.8%),painintheinjectionarea(55%),swelling(26.8%),crying(11.4%),lossofappetite(11.2%),non-humorousbehavior(11%),erythema(10.5%),andvomiting(6.5%).theothersideeffectswere:persistantcrying,injectionsiteerythma,vomitingandlethargy.Conclusion:complicationsaftertriplevaccinationwereratherhighinYazd.Soitisrecommendedtorecognizethecausativefactorsanditsreduction
