A Very Unusual Case of Mediastinal Impalement Injury.
[摘要] Abstract::Mediastinalimpalementisaveryuncommonandoftenfatalinjuryandoneofthemostseveretypesofpenetratingchestinjuries.Patientswiththistypeofinjuryalwaysundergooperativeinterventionregardlessofthehemodynamicstateorassociatedinjuryandonlyafewcaseshavebeenreportedinwhichthepatientrecoveredwithoutanysequel.Wepresentapreviouslyunreportedcaseofmediastinalimpalementinjuryinwhicha20-cmlongstabwasenteredthroughthemanubriumandremainedwithintheanteriormediastinumwithnocardiac,greatvesselorhilarinjury.Thepatientremainedhemodynamicallystableandtheforeignbodywhichhadpenetratedthepericardiumandbeenstoppednearthepulmonaryarterywasextractedviasternotomyincision.Follow-upofthepatientforabout9monthsrevealednocomplicationorreidualeffectofhisaccident.
