Lack of influence of the membranes of the endoplasmic reticulum on the capacity for protein synthesis of the rat liver polyribosomes

The influence of the membranes of the endoplasmic reticulum on the functional properties of liver polyribosomes was studied in rats. The evidence seems to exclude the idea that the activity of the polyribosomes is under the control of the membranes.
