Antibody Studies with DNA Methylase

[摘要] DNA methylase catalyses the transfer of a methyl group from S-Adenosyl-L-Methionine to the 5 position on deoxycytidine residues in CpG dinucleotides of DNA. DNA methylase has been purified 2000 fold from mouse Krebs II ascites tumour cells by modification of the original purification procedure of Turnbull and Adams (1976). The purified enzyme has been used to raise polyclonal antibodies in rabbits in order to study the enzyme in vitro.
