A New Set of Single Element Tests for Accuracy Assessment in Finite Element Analysis

[摘要] A set of single element tests has been devised which are based on assumed stress functions with constant, linear and quadratic stress fields. These three fields can be used in piecewise approximation of higher order stress fields. Element shape sensitivity has already been explored, but element size and location are also important sources of error and they are related to effective discretization of a structure.
