DNA methyltransferase from Pisum sativum

[摘要] The objective of the work reported in this thesis was to isolate and characterise a plant DNA methylase and to compare its properties to those of mouse ascites DNA methylase. This was of particular interest because plant DNA contains methylated cytosine in both CG dinucleotides and CNG trinucleotides, whereas animal DNA contains methylated cytosine in CG dinucleotides only.
