Studies of the Genes and Enzymes of the Shikimate Pathway in Streptomyces coelicolor

[摘要] Aromatic compounds are synthesized via the shikimate pathway. The first activity, DAHP synthase, has been implicated in the regulation of the pathway in a number of organisms. This activity was investigated in the organism S. coelicolor and an assessment made of its regulatory importance.
