Enzymes of the Mandelate Pathway in Acinetobacter calcoaceticus

[摘要] 1. The majority of the work in this thesis was concerned with investigating whether or not the enzymes of the mandelate pathway in Acinetobacter calcoaceticus exist as an enzyme complex. The possible physiological importance of metabolic compartmentation by 'soluble' enzyme interactions in both prokaryotes and eukaryotes is discussed and some examples of such interactions are illustrated in the Introduction.
