An historical enquiry into the process of curriculum formation for Religious and Moral Education in Scottish non-denominational secondary schools from circa 1970
[摘要] Education in Scotland is concerned with human growth and development which involves the acquisition of personal emotional capacities alongside practical skills and a community based value system. Religious and Moral Education is particularly concerned with the transmission of the cultural heritage and traditions of Protestant Christianity and with the development of the community orientated values of Presbyterianism. There is a corresponding focus on developing the critical skills necessary to engage meaningfully with those values such that pupils develop a specific conception of the meaning, value and purpose of life.
